Italian soprano Damiana Mizzi has recently joined GM Art&Music for General Management.
A native of Puglia, Damiana made her debut very young in 2004 in the role of Rosina in Paisiello’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia. Since then, she appeared on many important theatres and festivals both in Italy and abroad and she has wprked with renowed conductors such as Riccardo Muti, Kent Nagano, Donato Renzetti, Bruno Campanella, Fabio Biondi, Riccardo Frizza, Andrea Battistoni, Roland Böer, Daniel Smith, Marco Angius, Alejo Perez, Nicola Paszkowski, Luigi Piovano, Christian Capocaccia, Francesco Lanzillotta.
Her repertoire includes La Vedova Allegra (Valencienne), Così fan tutte (Despina), Gianni Schicchi (Lauretta), I Capuleti e i Montecchi (Giulietta), Il Viaggio a Reims (Corinna), Falstaff (Nannetta), La Bohème (Musetta), Il cappello di Paglia di Firenze (Elena), Il Matrimonio Segreto (Elisabetta), Sarro’s La Furba e lo Sciocco (Sofia), La Serva Padrona (Serpina), La Cenerentola (Clorinda), L’Italiana in Algeri (Elvira), as well as the title role in Janáček’s The Cunning Little Vixen.
A very active interpreter of contemporary music, she premiered for the Accademia Filarmonica Romana the title role in Daniele Carnini’s La Stanza di Lena and she collaborated with Nuova Consonanza Festival in Rome singing premieres of many composers.
